I am a former Ugandan Catholic Religious Brother for 17 years. I am now 50 with three kids all below 13. I am married but always worried for the education of my son and two daughters. This has left my married life to be a source of depression. My job earnings in prison ministry is from hand to mouth. Pray for me that I get either a dream job with the UN or that a geneous benefactor comes by through CITI.

We pray the Holy Spirit inspires the pope, cardinals, and bishops to allow optional celibacy for all and to welcome back priests called to priesthood and then to marriage. Celibacy becomes a graven image put above salvation of souls when priests who marry are asked to leave during a critical shortage of priests. The first and foremost Commandment is: "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above" (Exodus 20:2). Rev. John J. Strynkowski, an executive director with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, affirmed in a Washington Post article 8/4/03 that "Sacraments conferred by married priests are valid including Baptism and consecrating the Eucharist at Mass." Celibacy “doesn't belong to the essence of the priesthood” says Pope John Paul (qtd in July 18th, 1993 New York Times). Peter, the apostle upon whom Jesus built his church, was married, as were most other apostles.

My fiance and I have only been dating for two months and already wanting to get marriage we both have been married once before and it seems as though everyone else that we told says it's not a good idea and seem as though they are not happy for us.they have nothing but negetive things to say and how we will fail. I am afraid that WHAT IF they may be telling the truth. I know deep in my heart I want to make this work. They say why don't we just wait and live together. I don't want to live in sin.
